La Cantine by Bruno Menard


La Cantine is a brasserie by three-Michelin-starred chef Bruno Menard located at Asia Square, Tower 1, 8 Marina View. They will feature classic French fare, their upside-down rooster logo means an indication of seeing and experiencing things exactly from a unique perspective and their menu is decorated with French bistro classics reinterpreted into elegant plates.

They offer a classic French onion soup with a deep flavor of caramelized onions, and duck liver make the soup delicious. Their momotaro tomato salad was served with a goat cheese. The sweet tomatoes and the goat cheese is a good match. They have a La Tomate Farcie which also a momotaro tomato filled with zucchini chutney and olive oil and served with Yuzu-kosho tarragon sorbet. There is a comfort fare on the menu of mains like a caramelized pork belly that is rich in potato puree, the meat is tender and wrapped in a flavorful sauce. The Pacific cod dish is very rich, and the fish is tender paired with a classic combination of dill, salmon roe and chopped egg. There are plenty of simple classic desserts to choose from like baba ah rhum and a home-made vanilla ice cream with dulce de leche and pieces of crisp almond wafers.
